Welcome
“Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health
and that all may go well with you,
even as your soul is getting along well.”
--3 John 2
Good health is a blessing! Anyone who has experienced illness—whether the illness is a chronic disease or something as minor as the common cold—will attest to this truth.
Current statistics, however, indicate we are prone to take our health for granted through lifestyle choices that are detrimental, rather than beneficial, to our wellbeing.
The second leading cause of preventable death is the combination of improper diet and inadequate exercise. If current trends continue, this may soon surpass tobacco use as the number one cause of preventable death.
Our diet and exercise habits have contributed to the current epidemic of obesity and being overweight, and we are suffering the consequences through weight-related disease, disability and premature death. Sadly, we are passing this legacy of lifestyle-related illness onto our children.
But there is a reason to be encouraged! For Christians, we have hope as well as a solution found in the Bible, God’s Word. The mission given to me and to many other believers who recognize the vital connection between our spiritual and physical lives is to clearly present the solution to the Body of Christ.

To calculate your waist to hip ratio, measure the circumference of your waist at the belly button or just above it and your hips at the widest point. |

Calculate your body mass index (BMI). This is a measurement based on height and weight. It indicates if you are under or over your ideal weight.
